In 2006, when Richard's daughter, Wylie, was seven years old, she participated in the "11th Annual Cray-Pas Wonderful Colorful World Contest." Students from kindergarten through grade 8 submitted original pieces of artwork, and the entries were judged on originality, creativity, use of oil pastel methods, and age appropriateness. Wylie's artwork was one of 150 finalists selected from among thousands of entries submitted nationwide. Wylie offered her prize winning picture to be shared on the website, and her artwork is proudly displayed here. Congratulations, Wylie!
